Core physical parameters (National Standard GB/T 706-2016).

1. Theoretical weight: 6.40 kg/m (calculated based on steel density of 7.85 g/cm³; the weight of the galvanized coating can be disregarded).

2. Cross-sectional area: 8.16 cm²

3. Inner arc radius: 8 mm

4. Surface area: Approximately 0.274 m²/m.

5. Tolerances: Edge width ± 0.8 mm, edge thickness ± 0.5 mm. These meet the national standards for tolerances for hot-rolled steel shapes.

Material and galvanization process.

1. Material of the substrate.

The primary material is Q235B carbon structural steel, while for heavy-duty applications, Q355B low-alloy high-strength steel is used, which offers higher yield strength and greater load-bearing capacity.

2. Galvanization classifications (the two most commonly used types)

– Hot-dip galvanizing (preferred for engineering applications).

The angle steel is fully immersed in molten zinc at a temperature of 450-480℃. The thickness of the zinc layer is 65-120μm. The adhesion is extremely strong, and the corrosion resistance life is 20-50 years. It is suitable for outdoor, coastal, and humid environments and is commonly used in power and steel structure engineering.

– Electro-galvanized (cold-galvanized)

The zinc coating is thin (5-15μm), costs less, is suitable only for indoor, dry environments, and has a short lifespan of corrosion protection. It is not recommended for outdoor use.

3. Antimicrobial advantages

The zinc layer forms a sacrificial anode protection, shielding against air, moisture, acid, and alkali corrosion. Compared to ordinary black-coated steel, the corrosion resistance is enhanced by more than 10 times. Subsequent maintenance and painting are virtually unnecessary.
